Baptisms
Baptism or Christening as it is sometimes called, celebrates what God promises for each individual. So we are keen to do justice to the Church’s understanding of baptism and its significance to you or your child, and to God.
It is Uniting Church practice to celebrate the sacrament of baptism within the context of the normal gathering of Sunday worship. In this way we are able to appropriately welcome those being baptized (children and/or adults) into the faith community of Jesus Christ.

The Church across the main traditions agreed that Baptism is a once only event. It is seen as a significant act of spritual connection with christian belief and for a child beginning their spiritual journey. We look forward to the day when your child will grow to acknowledge the Christian faith as her/his own. The Uniting Church offers Confirmation as a means of affirming personal faith and reaffirming baptism.
All enquiries can be made to the Minister, the Rev. Chris Harkness
